Privacy Policy

Adam Tardy (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the My Plant Room mobile application (the “App”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our App.

1. Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect:

• Authentication data: your Apple ID or Google account identifier (we do not store your password)
• User ID: a unique identifier assigned by Firebase Authentication

1.2 Gameplay Data

We automatically collect:

• Game progress: plant growth states, inventory, currency balances, room layout, and settings
• Daily statistics: session duration, tap counts, purchases made, and chests opened (aggregated per day)
• Streak data: daily login streak count and reward claim history

1.3 Device & Technical Data

We collect through Firebase and analytics services:

• Device token: for push notifications (FCM token)
• Analytics events: session starts, level-ups, currency earned/spent, items placed (via Firebase Analytics)
• Crash reports: diagnostic data if the app crashes

1.4 Purchase Data

When you make in-app purchases:

• Transaction records: processed by Apple’s App Store and RevenueCat
• We do not collect or store your payment information (credit card, billing address)

1.5 User-Submitted Content

• Feedback submissions: category, title, description, and app version (submitted voluntarily through Settings)

1.6 Advertising Data

When you choose to watch a rewarded ad (via the “Watch ad for gems” feature in Settings/Shop), we collect:

• Advertising identifier (IDFA): if you grant permission via the iOS App Tracking Transparency prompt, your device’s anonymous identifier is shared with Google AdMob for ad targeting and measurement.
• Ad interaction data: information about ads served (impression, completion, frequency) for the purpose of delivering and capping rewarded ads.

You can revoke tracking consent at any time via iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking. Even without consent, you can still watch ads for gems — only the targeting precision is reduced.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

• Provide the game: save and sync your progress across devices
• Improve the experience: analyze gameplay patterns to balance game mechanics
• Send notifications: plant health reminders, streak reminders, and content updates (with your permission)
• Process purchases: fulfill in-app gem purchases
• Respond to feedback: address bugs, feature requests, and content suggestions
• Maintain security: detect abuse and protect user accounts

3. Data Storage & Security

• Game data is stored in Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Storage), hosted in secure Google Cloud data centers
• Authentication is handled by Firebase Authentication using industry-standard protocols
• Purchase verification is handled by RevenueCat, which communicates directly with Apple’s servers
• We implement Firebase Security Rules to ensure users can only access their own data

5. Randomized Virtual Items (Loot Boxes)

My Plant Room contains chests (loot boxes) that provide randomized virtual items including plants, decorative pots, furniture, boosts, and in-game currency. Important disclosures:

• Chests can be purchased with in-game currency (SAP) earned through gameplay, or with gems purchased via in-app purchases
• Drop probabilities are fixed per chest tier and are not influenced by player spending, play time, or any other personal data
• Virtual items have no real-world monetary value and cannot be traded, sold, or transferred outside the App
• No gambling: chest contents are predetermined by fixed probability tables; there is no skill or wagering involved

6. Children’s Privacy

My Plant Room is rated for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). The App:

• Does not require personal information beyond authentication
• Contains opt-in rewarded ads — the user must explicitly tap “Watch ad for gems” to view any ad
• For users under 13: parental controls should be used to manage ad consent. We tag ad requests using AdMob’s child-directed treatment guidelines for users on a child-supervised account.
• In-app purchases require App Store parental controls / authentication

If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

7. Data Retention & Deletion

• Game data is retained as long as your account exists
• Analytics data is retained per Google Firebase’s default retention policies (typically 14 months)
• You can delete your account at any time through Settings > Delete Account, which permanently removes all your game data from our servers
• You can request data deletion by contacting us at the email below

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Request deletion of your data
• Object to or restrict processing of your data
• Data portability

9. International Data Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than your own, as Firebase and our service providers operate globally. We rely on standard contractual clauses and adequacy decisions where applicable.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes through the App or by updating the “Last updated” date above. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
